About Our Internship Program:

Trans Mentor Project is our national e-mentoring program that pairs trans and nonbinary (TGNB) youth and young adults with TGNB adult mentors. Its mission is to provide mentees with supportive, identity-affirming mentors who will empower them to meet their personal goals and thrive.

As the Trans Mentor Project Intern, you will support the TMP Program Director by helping mentor/mentee pairs build meaningful connections and by building virtual community spaces for participants.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to expand on facilitation skills, community building, conflict mediation, and digital communication. You can expect to check in with mentor-mentee pairs, plan and oversee virtual hangouts for participants (formal group meetings and informal movie/game nights, etc.), and complete other various administrative tasks to contribute to the success of Trans Mentor Project. The ideal candidate is emotionally aware, able to manage a group dynamic, and highly organized.

We will work with your college/university to meet any requirements for you to receive course credit. If the internship is not for credit, we will compensate you for your time. The intern is expected to work between 10-15 hours per week; some evening and weekend availability is needed. The internship is completely remote.

To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to Carter Roberts, Program Director of Trans Mentor Project, at tmp@samdevorah.org.

Sam & Devorah Foundation seeks to hire staff who reflect the lived experiences of the community we serve. Members of the trans and nonbinary community are strongly encouraged to apply. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and evaluate all applicants based on merit.
